Well, yes, I haven’t blogged in awhile. Truth be told, I took a summer sabbatical. I love summer: the long days, the heat and humidity, and the vast offering of activities.
My office desk is smack in front of a window, so everyday while I’m working, I longingly gaze out the window yearning to get out in the warmth and sunshine. When my professional duties are done for the day, I free myself for a walk, rousing tennis match, bike ride, or for relaxation on the front porch.
What did I accomplish this summer? I traveled to visit family and friends; I threw a luau for our dear friends who moved to Hawaii. I attended an intensive three-day fitness conference. I celebrated graduations. I relaxed on a pontoon boat and laughed at the friendly dolphins. I planned an intriguing, delectable luncheon for local dietitians, and I helped my son move among other activities. But best of all, I spent time wandering and wondering on the beach, storing my healthy share of Vitamin D, and happily collecting sunsets.
It was a great summer…I hate to see it go.
